- Emoticons added to the chatroom after numerous requests. We're currently working
on our next newsletter's contents which should pop into your email boxes early
August. We are also manically trying to get some gifts for you lot as prizes
from a superb online PC company we've found who service us here in the UK and
America, directly we hear from them we'll let you know and start giving you the

23.02.2003 - Charity Football Match Day - Hollyoaks vs
Family Affairs. Superb day in Lordswood, Kent, weather
held out although it was numbingly cold. Nicest people of the day awards
go to Pete Callan (David Easter), Tony Hutchinson (Nick Pollard) & Ben
Davies (Marcus Patric), most likely to spend all the time texting award
goes to Yasmin Matthews (Ebony Thomas). WELL DONE ALL, great day out for
charity....Spent ages staring at a stunning girl possibly Hollyoaks Jodie
Nash (Kate McEnery) in the top bar, if it wasn't you, sorry.

26.01.2003 - "Slap The Gherkin" launched, more work to be done
to count the total slaps etc but this will be done in the week.

05.01.2003 - We've now had 2,001,482 visitors, YES OVER 2 MILLION!!!, thank
you all for the continued support, and those who gave us the first boost
when we launched in MAy 2002.
04.01.2003 - 05.01.2002 - Not a lot today, too cold, had about 7" of
snow here so just stayed in and kept warm... thinking of templates for the
complete revamp of the IHG site. Just checked the weblogs and our visitor
count is now 1,991,907!!! SCARY!!!!!!!!

plant died, as a mark of respect we have closed the webcam, please do not

04.07.2002 - Another 10,245 hits so far today, going to spend some time
looking to see what you like now and remove the stuff you don't, then we'll
fill it with new things more along the line of the stuff you like already!

03.07.2002 - As of 5.30 we've had another 9,851 hits today. Tonight we are
going to spend some more time trying to get the site on the likes of Kiss
FM, Invicta, Radio 1 etc, with your help we could do it!!! Also due to the demand it looks as though our original chat room will need to be given a complete re-write, this should be done by the weekend and will allow for seperate rooms, private chats etc....

01.06.2002 - Pages cleaned for speed, smileys now work in forum (more will
be added soon), style sheets altered slightly. Gherkin plants moved out
to the garden and re-potted, they are not happy and currently look dead!.
Trying to liven them up with Miracle Grow, will keep you all informed as
to their recovery.
31.05.2002 - Mailing list code amended, now no maximum size address restrictions.
30.05.2002 - Guestbook added, still under construction but will be finished
by 31/6, this is also self regulating and will *** out abusive words. Please
note though, the system has been designed to collect the IP address and
automatically ban any user using foul language.
29.06.2002 - Big Brother should be running by the end of today and we hope
to have a lot more content in by the time we go fully live. Thanks for everyone
that has added content so far!!, news updated, spot the gherkin image renewed.

25.05.2002 - Mailing list still a problem with names over 14 characters,
have found a workaround but need to get time to code it in (around pub times
that is!) , need a laptop installed at the pub!, more work done for a big
brother launch due this next week.

rooms, private messaging etc, should be available by 27/5. All email addresses
now constructed by JavaScript to stop "email grabbing spiders"

21.05.2002 - Send and log-off images added to chat, also the chat now holds
the last 20 lines of text compared to the previous 10. Web-cam scripts updated.

the code, smileys will be added during the week, more words added to banned
list, live chat tweaked slightly.
19.05.2002 - Live Gherki-Chat added, at present it's an un-moderated live
chat room but we will work on the coding during the week to auto remove
expletives. New Gherki-Cam images uploaded and Gallery links now auto centre
